Unbelievable

My wife and I read this book in three days total. First her and then me. We've never fought over a piece of literature. Most surprisingly, this was not necessarily her "type of book". However, neither of us could stop reading it. This guy can write and you just know it's a labor of love on his part. The best part is this is not fiction. The nine folks he details in this insane experience are beyond imagination. You do not have to be a sailor to be captivated by this adventure to the extreme. I'm almost fifty and I feel like I've just adopted new heroes in my life - the author and most of his subjects (some are just too pitiful for hero worship). This is my first review and unless I come across something this great again, it will be my last. Read "A Voyage For Madmen".

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I haven't had the opportunity to travel much but this book definitely inspired me to do so. It provides all the information you could possibly need for planning your trip, what to do on your trip, and how to unwind when you get back. Has every aspect of travel broken down so the information is easy to find and use. Excellent book for the experienced and unexperienced traveler.

WOW.. This is the first book I have read on traveling specifically for women, and I think it is the only one I will ever need. Really well thought out with TONS of useful information. Plus there are great stories, quizzes, planners etc. to make things interesting. Definitely recommended!

Great Book

I travel quite a bit, so when I was given a copy of "Traveling her Her" by Amber Israelsen, I thought "why do I need this?." Well, I was pleasantly surprised to find very valuable and useful information even for the experienced traveler.Her "Introduction" first captured my interest by explaining her reason for writing the book. I especially enjoyed all of the inspirational stories that she has painstakingly collected from friends and colleagues.Amber's book is a great tool for anyone thinking about a vacation. She provides tips on places to stay; modes of transportation; booking your trip, and my personal favorite, "finding your destination".I highly recommend this book for those experienced and inexperienced in traveling.

Title is misleading--should say "OVER 62"

I agree with the other negative reviews on this book. There's VERY little for anyone under 62. Now if the book were titled "Unbelievably good deals and great adventures that you absolutely cant get unless you're 'over 62'" or "unless youre a SENIOR" i wouldnt have been bothered. But the "over 50" thing? well, it just felt like that was put in the title to get a sucker like me to buy the book (i'm 52).
