Galveston cruises offered by Carnival Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean. Out of a wide range of destinations, but some of the most popular are along the Mexican line of coastline. Galveston is a small port, with easy access and no longer lines of the ports that we normally associate with cruises, like Miami.
Galveston is known as one of the major resort destinations in Texas, and even the Gulf Coast. Beautiful architecture and gardens, miles of sandy beaches and the Strand, with hundreds shops are all parts of Galveston to add to your cruise vacation, either before departure or after their return.
Carnival of the sails of their "Fun Ship "Ecstasy from Galveston. It was built in 1991 and renovated in 2006. A 855 meters long, displaces over 70,000 tons and carries about 2,600 passengers. There are 618 cabins exterior and 408 interior staterooms and 22 wheelchair accessible cabins. The ship has twelve bars, a fitness center, two swimming pools, Internet service and a room games, among other services for children.
Ecstasy cruise itineraries include a return of 4 days from Galveston to Cozumel, Mexico, and vice versa. The output of 7-day cruises from Galveston visit Progreso, Yucatan and Cozumel, Mexico before returning to port.
Carnival also offers cruises in the Conquest, a 952-foot, 110,000-ton ship with a decor inspired by the great Impressionist painters. The conquest was completed in 2002, becoming one of the newer cruise ships. She can carry 2,974 people and has a crew of 1150 to serve in one of the 1,487 staterooms.
The Conquest sails from Galveston and has stops in Montego Bay, Jamaica, George Town, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Mexico, and then back to Galveston.
Royal Caribbean Voyager of the Seas also calls Galveston home. It was built in 1999 and renovated in 2002. In an amazing 1,020 meters, was the largest cruise ship in the world when it was put into service. In 142 thousand tons, can carry 3,114 guests who are served by 1,176 crew. Voyager of the Seas offers ice skating only in the sea. In addition, you will find an auction art golf simulator, scuba instruction, spa, sauna and climbing wall, and a gym.
Voyager of the seas sails a 7-day trip to Cozumel, Roatan, Costa Maya and Yucatan, before returning to Galveston. If you want to extend your trip, choose the 13-night transatlantic cruise to the east, leaving Galveston for a stopover in Miami before sailing across the Atlantic to arrive in Ponta Delgada, Azores Islands. Links to the coast is expected in Ponta Delgada, then leaves the ship to Cartagena, Colombia and then to Barcelona, Spain, where your cruise ends.
Galveston cruise offers some options and vessels are not in other places. Especially for an experienced cruiser, this is a way to try a little something different while enjoying your favorite type of vacation.
