Hello. My wife and I are planning our 1st vacation away from our daughter this summer on a 4 night cruise. Our daughter will be about 17 months old when we leave her with her grandma while we are on the cruise. She knows her grandma well but I am worried about not only her dealing with us being gone but also myself missing her. Any suggestions for prepping our daughter and us for being away form each other!!!???
She will be fine. Actually, it is very good for you to continue your life and not center it soley on the child(ren). It will be good for her...she will actually build self-esteem from learning she can make it without Mom & Dad. I would not do anything special. Just call and tell her you are having fun and will see her soon.
