Single Travel

As a single woman in search of travel, a "travel club" may have piqued your interest, but not sure if the things I've heard are legitimate or too good to be true. Many clubs offer or offers more luxurious accommodations, but it is difficult to filter myth from reality sometimes. With a little research and common sense, however, vacation travel club can be the best idea I've had in a long time.

Here are some common myths and misconceptions:

Myth: "All travel clubs are a scam designed to take your money and you can find better deals for yourself or with a travel agent.

Fact: Of course, some so-called "travel clubs" are a scam, and often, the scammers, you'll find good deals crazy they are simply too good to be true. These scams are relatively easy to detect, and all you need do is make a few phone calls and check the offers before accepting anything. Do not jump right after a hearing fast-talking sales pitch or to receive a glossy brochure just keep in mind that for a single woman shopping for a deal of travel, a travel club with a legitimate and solid reputation can be for you.

Myth: "travel clubs are actually a way to get to hear a timeshare presentation / buy in their timeshare program.

Reality: A Again, there is always some truth in a lie, and yes, there are some organizations that are advertised as "travel clubs", but more research what they are offering is an agreement to leave if sit and listen to your long and boring presentation into a timeshare agreement. Do not be afraid to ask the questions about blank. If you are a timeshare step, do not go. But just because a timeshare boasts of being a travel club does not mean that all travel clubs are bad. And if you have some extra time, it might be worth sitting through the playing field for free accommodation. Just leave your checkbook at home!

Myth: "The" agreements "you get are low-quality housing, and the only way you'll get the" luxury "is promising with improvements for.

Reality: Research, research, research. It is worth repeating. Some random telemarketing can try and weasel in a fabulous $ 50 to try, if it really is logged in, it's for a night in a motel with a lamp. The legitimate travel clubs, however, offer to travelers, especially if you're a woman alone looking for travel deals that plans to fully exploit the benefits of discounts club and housing prices that probably could not find on their own.

Myth: If you travel with a club, he caught a bus with a bunch of old married couples.

Fact: travel clubs now recognize that one size does not fit all. Often, your travel package with components in mind, family, individual, or the elderly. And even if, as one woman, you'll travel with families and the elderly, a travel club offers good bunch of free time to explore on your own.

In general, all comes down to knowing what you're looking for and the understanding that yes, there are some scams out there, but overall, most travel clubs are legal, legitimate and can give a single woman who enjoys traveling and plans to fully explore all the advantages that the club must offer a unique opportunity to experience new destinations and exciting.

The Duchy of Normandy, founded by Vikings 1000 years ago, is bound by kinship and history to the English-speaking world. Its great ports Cherbourg and Le Havre, picturesque fishing harbors like Honfleur or Dieppe, chic resorts and long sandy beaches resonate with memories linking Normandy to its neighbor across the Channel. Explore an astonishing artistic heritage, from the cartoon-like Tapestry in Bayeux, and Gothic masterpieces in Rouen and strange Mont St Michel, to Impressionist shrines like Monet’s home beside the Seine. Description

The Dordogne takes you by surprise. Green and calm and quiet, at first glance it seems just another corner of rural France designed for good food, fine wine and easy living. Then you notice that it holds humanity's first great works of art, provocative paintings on the walls of its caves that go back over 15,000 years BC. It's been a busy crossroads ever since. The 'land of a thousand castles' has cinematic medieval donjons and turreted Renaissance châteaux to rival those of the Loire.  A dramatic history hasn't kept the Dordogne from polishing the arts of everyday life. There's an inviting cuisine based on duck, foie gras and truffles, and lovely villages of warm golden stone that complement some of France's most civilized landscapes.

Description

Joshua Slocum spent a lifetime at sea. He ran away from his Nova Scotia home at the age of 14, and for the next 35 years he sailed the world holding every shipboard rank. When a ship under his command was wrecked on the coast of Brazil in 1887, it seemed that his maritime career had ended in disgrace. Not one for retiring to earthy pastures, Slocum rebuilt a hundred-year old sloop and set off from Boston in 1895 on the first single-handed circumnavigation of the globe. For more than three years, Slocum battled stormy seas, attacks from raiders and pirates, and of course, loneliness. He crossed the Atlantic no fewer than three times, spent weeks thrashing against the elements around Cape Horn, and found shelter in numerous exotic harbours. Sailing Alone around the World is the extraordinary story of one man's courage and resourcefulness, and has an enduring and universal appeal as a landmark of world adventure. Stanfords Travel Classics feature some of the finest historical travel writing in the English language, with authors hailing from both sides of the Atlantic. Every title has been rest in a contemporary typeface and has been printed to a high quality production specification, to create a series that every lover of fine travel literature will want to collect and keep.
