How do I go about looking for a job singing on a cruise ship?

Random question, I know! I really enjoy singing and would love to do it as much as possible. I've taken loads of vocal lessons and have won numerous singing competitions in the past. Recently, a family friend suggested that I look for work on cruise ships as a singer. After much thought, I decided that it is something that I would love to give a go, but I don't have a clue where to start! All advice, tips etc would be much appreciated...

Well I have never sung on a cruise ship.. But I am in a band and know quite a bit about booking... What I would recommend is finding a website of a major cruise line get the contact info.. Send a demo disc to the entertainment director.. Include a short resume with the places you have played competitions you have won. who you have sung with. Also if you are that good you should sign up with some sort of talent agency and maybe think about getting an agent. Desire to sing is one thing. But you have to be able to draw a crowd. Hopefully this helps some.
