Crossing the Atlantic with a ship or boat?

I was wondering if anyone can advise me on where I can find a service that takes passengers across the Atlantic. I'm looking for an alternative to cheap, something different. Well, all, as swimming is not an option and driving is impossible. I'm not looking for a cruise line (Cunard, Queen Mary and ....). Only one boat that takes people through and not intended to be a holiday as the luxury cruise lines. I guess something like 'Atlantic Greyhound ". It takes you from point A to B (and no class dining, pools and queen size beds). There is something similar conditions to 1950, but a ship or boat with a little space, or somewhere comfortable to sleep and a bed and so on. Nothing fancy. Thanks

The load container ships. They have some rooms can achieve. One would have to call them to find out. Google going container ships across the Atlantic
