Cruise To Nowhere

If your 3 year old little girl fell off a cruise ship, would you jump in?

If your 3 year old little girl fell off a moving cruise ship in the middle of nowhere, would you jump in too? Scream for help? Try to throw her a flotation device? Blame it on her brother? Other?

Of course I'd jump in after her. Even if it meant we'd never be rescued, at least she wouldn't be alone.

Description

Dr. April N. Combs-Simpson was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, where Motown was discovered. April loves to travel, sing and dance. She is the oldest of four siblings. She spent a lot of her summers with her aunt, who is a professional singer. April especially enjoys cruising on the water. That was where she spent most of her adult years, boating and enjoying the water. Her friends have nicknamed her “The Mermaid.” Once she married her true love, they made vows to cruise every year on their wedding anniversary. Because they were married August 31st, every cruise was during hurricane season. Little did they know they would be caught up in a vicious storm—Hurricane Katrina—which hit the Caribbean and the United States and became the worst hurricane in many decades. This is April’s story, how she ascended from the Hurricane Katrina tragedy to triumph, and the tribulations she experienced in between.
