Cruise Line

What is the best cruise line for young children?

I have been on the Ruby Princess, but it was a random time of year, so there were not many children. Still enjoyed it, but I would know the cruise / children aged 12 to 20 lines would enjoy more BASED ACTIVITIES / FEATURES! Thanks!

Well I'm not trying to advertise, I'm trying to help. I have 13 years and was on a cruise last year. Everyone says Carnival or Royal Caribbean, but the truth is Carnival and Royal Caribbean is well way too big too busy. I suggest Disney. I went last year and going again this year. Disney has little to do things such as Carnival and not too to do as Royal Caribbean. Disney is perfect. It has a teen only club with tons of activities and a private beach teens at Disney's private island Castaway Cay. Disney is not just for kids either, its for everyone including adults. Adults have a restaurant, spa, pool, beach, and many more. Children have clubs, beaches, pools, and many more too! Disney also has the largest rooms of any cruise ship and parents can bring their own alcohol! Drinks, food, ice cream, whatever is free too (to accept the spirit and memories)! This year, Disney came out with a ship called the Disney Dream. His 1000 times better than any other cruise line! It has more interesting things as a group only in adolescents over the club and restaurants 2 adults only. Even if you do not have a window in his room the virtual bull's-eye again! off camera will show an exterior view of Disney characters and even come to visit. All new kids club and bigger and Disney is the first coaster of water each time on a cruise also joined the cruise line. Disney is also the only line cruise that allows fireworks while on board. One night, during every survey is part of your call Pirate Night, where everyone dresses like a pirate. During Party members of the crew to shoot fireworks. It was awesome. Also I forgot to mention that there are three pools and a sports deck, gym (For adults), a running track, a doctor, three main restaurants, 4 fast food, buffet restaurants and two gift shops. Cruise Disney is also the only cruise line to get to sit with your family / party and nobody else, room service operates 24 hours. one day, and his waiters stay the same throughout the cruise. I hope and helped to obtain more information, visit http://www.disneycruise.disney.go.com.

Want to know what really happens behind the door marked 'Private - crew members only'What do the crew get up to when they are off duty? What do they get up to when they are ON duty? What do they get up to with the passengers? How do they 'earn' their tips? For the first time it is all in print. The memoirs the cruise companies didn't want you to see!!!It is the personal memoir of my time working as a waiter on the S/S Oceanic which sailed from Cape Canaveral to The Bahamas. The waiters were the 'Kings' of the cruise ship. They worked hard, partied hardest, ate the best food, gambled the most, had the most sex and unlike rock stars we never took a day off to recover. Rehab for us was the next party! The best thing was the passengers never suspected a thing and they loved us!!!!!!

Description

Cruising is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. Attracting more than 12 million passengers a year, cruise ship companies are merging to become be-hemoths. And cruise ships themselves have swollen dramatically in size, now sometimes carrying more than 5,000 people on board. Not surprisingly, this growth is causing huge problems—problems that the industry would rather not acknowledge, and the potential cruiser would have a hard time discovering.Cruise Ship Blues reveals the dark underside of this industry. Author Ross Klein first examines the contrast between passenger expectations of luxury and romance fostered by rosy advertising, and the seedier reality of meals, accommodations, and facilities on board. He then:• explodes the myth of the cruise as an all-inclusive vacation, demonstrating that the industry’s expectation is to generate an additional $200+ per day per person• examines cruise ship safety, ringing the alarm about accidents at sea, passenger security (including the incidence of sexual assault), on-board illnesses, and medical services• juxtaposes the industry’s environmentally friendly image against its actual behavior and the difficulties of effective regulation• exposes the workers’ experience in these "sweatshops at sea"• contrasts the industry’s consumer-friendly facade with its attitude that "everything would run smoothly if it were not for the passengers"Concluding with a discussion of what can be done to make the cruise business socially and environmentally accountable, Cruise Ship Blues offers a harsh critique as well as a call to political action. It will appeal both to those considering a cruise vacation, as well as to activists and students.Since 1992, Ross Klein has taken more than 30 cruises in all parts of the world, comprising more than 300 days. An Associate Professor of Social Work at Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland, he has written widely on the cruise industry.

Description

The innovative Disney Cruise Line attracts hundreds of thousands of Disney and cruising fans to its Bahamian, Caribbean, Mediterranean, Mexican Riviera and Alaskan cruises. Disney’s unique facilities and programs, along with its hallmark, first-class customer service, mean full ships and happy cruisers. And like visitors to the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, cruisers have an almost obsessive need to “know before they go.” Until PassPorter arrived, no dedicated guidebook had existed for the Disney Cruise Line (or any other cruise line, for that matter)—only a few pages here and there in Walt Disney World guidebooks and general cruise guides. That all changed in 2003 when PassPorter Travel Press introduced PassPorter’s Disney Cruise Line and Its Ports of Call. Thanks to a very warm welcome from the cruising community, the guidebook is now in its ninth edition and going strong (January 2011, $45.95, PassPorter Travel Press, ISBN: 978-1-58771-098-8 - refers to Deluxe edition). Authors Jennifer and Dave Marx, who are also authors of the best-selling, award-winning PassPorter's Walt Disney World and PassPorter's Disneyland and Southern California Attractions, originally intended to produce a short supplement for Disney World-bound readers going on a Disney cruise. As they got deeper into the project the manuscript grew and grew—so many useful tips and details were discovered, and readers continued to ask questions they wanted answered in the book. The 2011 edition of the guidebook offers an unprecedented level of detail in a travel guidebook, including in-depth coverage of the line’s brand-new cruise ship, the Disney Dream, and its new permanent West Coast presence in the Mexican Riviera and Alaska. No detail is too small—from dining room menus to detailed deck plans, daily activities to shore excursions and extensive port-of-call coverage—it’s all included. The in-depth information is accompanied by over 90 original photographs and more than 20 maps, chart, and worksheets. The guide has everything first-time and veteran cruisers need to know about booking and enjoying a cruise with Mickey... and maybe a little extra, too!PassPorter’s Disney Cruise Line and Its Ports of Call 2011 comes in two formats: paperback ($19.95, ISBN: 978-1-58771-097-1) and deluxe ($45.95, ISBN: 978-1-58771-098-8). The deluxe edition is looseleaf, with a deluxe padded ring binder and 14 innovative organizer pockets, like those in PassPorter's Walt Disney World guidebook. The pockets allow readers to write their vacation itineraries on the front of each pocket before they go, store their cruise documents, birth certificates, and passports to have on hand when they arrive, keep maps, brochures, passes, and receipts inside the pocket while they’re there, and record their memories and expenses on the back to review when they return home! Printed front-and-back with fill-in-the-blank sections for itineraries, To-Do lists, notes, expenses, meals, photos taken, and cherished memories, PassPockets make organized travel a snap! Cruisers can design magical cruise vacations with this take-along travel guide and planner for the Disney Cruise Line. All aspects of the Disney Cruise Line are described in deep detail, complete with maps, diagrams, charts, and photos. Comprehensive information for planning, traveling, stateroom selection, dining, playing, and shore excursion selection/port of call touring is included, along with an entire section devoted to making magic onboard. Features include: Original photos of the cruise line and ports of call, coverage of recent changes and Disney's planned new cruiseliners, tips for first-time cruisers, the latest word on U.S. passport requirements, money-saving ideas and programs, details on Florida's Disney Cruise Line Terminal, four pages of packing tips and lists, floor plans of each stateroom category, recommended staterooms (and rooms to avoid), menus for all restaurants plus special dinner menus and room service, kids’ dining, tips for your first day aboard, activities for all ages, Internet Cafe guide, overlooked attractions, eight pages of information, maps, shore excursion descriptions and reviews for each port of call (including the 2011 Mediterranean, Mexican Riviera, and Alaskan ports), childcare, staying healthy, Disney characters, glossary of terms, planning calendars for 2011/2012 important phone numbers, Web site index, and input from eight peer reviewers! So when the romance and excitement of the high seas calls, pick up a PassPorter and book passage on the adventure of a lifetime!
