Choosing the Best Caribbean Cruise Deal for You

Once your ideas have crystallized and you are all set to get on board a cruise to the Caribbean, your next step should be to go through the several Caribbean cruise deals to be able to select the one that suits you best. This in itself is an exciting option but unless you narrow down choices you won't be able to make up your mind due to being swamped with the large number of options. However, once you trim the length of the cruise to 3-6 nights you'll be under 50 cruises sailing this April. Then once you select Miami, Florida as your departure port you'll be left with just about probably 5-6 cruise packages that you could sift through before you finalize your plans.

Let's check out the various cruise deals being offered by some four cruise lines. The packages need to be checked out considering the cost factor, the age of the ship, the amenities that are on offer by way of dining halls, health spas, swimming pools and jogging tracks against the number of passengers. If you have children accompanying you, naturally you would want some entertainment activities for them. Casinos turn on some while shopping could be a plus factor for the others! It's a very individual choice. Some cruise ships offer a small bonus as an added attraction. You could also go through the photographs of the ship, if these are available in order to get a feel before you finalize.

You'll find that the first ship offers Duty Free Shopping, 7 Jacuzzis and 4 pools. It has a Camp Carnival for the kids and a 200 ft long Spiral Waterslide besides a Children's Club. Swimming bars, jogging track and spa and health club are some of the other attractions. For the adults, there's an exciting casino, lounges, dance clubs and bars besides digital golf on board! Another ship offers wine tasting, daily activities, kid's water world, 2 pools, deck sports, whirlpools and a wedding chapel besides a casino, lounges and bars. Now you can compare the deals and take the one that meets your requirements and fits your budget.

Good warm vacation spots, any suggestions??

I am going to go on a sister vacation. away from our kids, just me and sis for first time. She is thinking Vegas, thinks we can get a good package deal. I am thinking more, warm beach tropical type. No cruise, ships scare me. Any good ideas from anyone who has been to a good place warm, that isn't going to cost a rediculous amount of money. Not looking for luxury, just a nice enjoyable time with my sister in a beautiful tropical surrounding. Thanks a million.

Description

The Perfect Vacation traces Suzy and Ewald Wiberg through a series of 13 vacations 12 of which were cruises over a period of 20 years. These include cruises with their two boys and as empty nesters. The book looks at the trips with a great sense of humor as it describes the good, the bad and the just okay parts of each trip. Destinations include the Caribbean, Central America, trans Atlantic and Europe. The trips occurred on Cunard, Princess, Holland America, Costa, Oceania, Radisson/Regent, Celebrity and Sitmar cruise lines. Although they have cruised on some of the lines multiple time, they have never been on the same ship twice. The book is filled with their unique experiences, useful tidbits of knowledge about cruising that will be of assistance to anyone planning a cruise, insight into many of the cruise lines, ports and traditions of the sea. Without a doubt the highlight of their cruise experiences came in 2004 when they were lucky enough to be on the maiden voyage of the Queen Mary 2. You can share in this historic voyage by reading the chapter entitled `Rock Stars!"

THIS IS A FUN READ

by Nan who loves fiction from West Palm Beach, FL on 2009-05-27
Having cruised a few times in the past I really didn't think this book would be of use to me, but I must say how pleasantly surprised I was to read this book from cover to cover. I enjoyed reading about their experiences from really, really good to awful. So now we all know that not every vacation is perfect!

Wonderful overview of cruising with humor and heart!

by L A C from Orlando, Fl United States on 2009-05-22
This is a delightful book from a guy with a good sense of humor and a warm heart.Mr Wiberg provides a good overview of what cruising is like on many different itineraries with helpful information about what to see and do and how to get around. It is written by someone who loves cruises and his enthusiasm will definitely spill over on the reader. You will be able to get a very good idea about the pro's and con's involved with cruising and enjoy some chuckles along the way.As someone who was born in the Canal Zone, and also traveled on the Panama Canal Line ships, I got tears in my eyes when I read Mr. Wiberg's account of his return to his homeland.I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in learning more about cruising and about the value of seeing the world. On a personal note, I also hope any one from the now defunct Canal Zone will also pick up this easy-read book to bring back some wonderful memories of times long past.Bravo to Mr Wiberg for writing something new and meaningful.

Ewald's Cruise Stories are Fun to Read

by Alberto A. Arcia from on 2009-05-15
My wife, Betsy and I had a good time reading Ewald's cruise adventures. We had a bad time during our last cruise and had toyed with the idea of leaving sea vacations behind, but after reading his adventures, we're back on. The book is not only informative, but it is also a cruise guide, Kuddos to Ewald for writing such an entertaining book. Excellent intorduction to traveling on cruise ships

by N. H. Booth from Hampton, VA,United States on 2009-05-11
This book was a real eye-opener. It should be required reading for a first time cruiser. Unlike most travel books, it gives you information about what to expect from everything connected to cruising, such as boarding and disembarking information, travel to and from ports that are points of departure for cruise ships and about hotels. The author advises you on things you should know ahead of time about all these things -- what to pack and what to leave home, about cabins aboard ship and seatings for meals, etc. -- and much more as it concerns being on board a cruise ship. Even veteran cruisers will enjoy some of the author's "inside baseball" suggestions and anecdotes from another fan of cruise traveling. There is also the excellent recounting of the Wibergs' adventures on the maiden voyage of the new Queen Mary 2. (And there are photos!) I was also very touched by the author's recounting of his return to the Panama Canal where he grew up. It was a story well told. I highly recommend this book.
