Carribean Family Cruises

Do you pay extra?

rooms connected to cruise. family of seven going on a cruise of Royal Caribbean International .. Why pay more for two connecting rooms?

No, not have to pay extra. Royal Caribbean however, a Royal Family Suite on some of the larger vessels. This suite for 8 people - and you should have at least 5 people reservation. It would be cheaper then booking 2 suites. Check it. We have to upgrade at a time, there were 3 of us, because no one had reserved. It is in the rear of the ship with a large balcony with two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was heaven!

Cruise Ship Dining Explained

There are many cruise ships that have Freestyle Dining (Norwegian Cruises) or choice Dining (Prince Cruise line) available. Or on Disney Cruise lines that have what is called "Rotational Dining". Have you and your tablemates rotate through the three restaurants every night.

CRUISE TIPS: Generally, to be open for breakfast and lunch in the main dining room. Be adventurous with the menu, because otherwise you like something you can send back a replacement. And if you have two things on the menu that he likes to ask them. My husband, John, always orders the filet mignon and tail lobster, when served on the same night. Many times he tells the waiter what the waiter recommends for that evening.

This means you do not have to choose seats first or second. (First seating is 6:00 to 6:30 and Second seating is usually 8:00-8:30). There can be more of a restaurant that when you're just walking ready to eat. Every ship will ask for your meal preference when you book your cruise. You can indicate first, second or flexible dining, which will make you feel more comfortable. The newer ships have a dining spot that 24 hours is always casual so if you do not do formal nights that do not have to, although I find dressing a rather amusing.

You will have many options for every meal. You can have any food delivered to her room at the buffet restaurant or in the dining. Usually there is outdoor dining around the pool with hot dogs and hamburgers, pizza, salads and even tacos.

There are also alternative dining rooms available on some ships that require an additional charge, but the service and food are generally 4 to 5 star and worth it if you want to splurge.

In my experience families with small children and people who go to bed early usually dine in prime seats. But if you do not want to be in a program or want to meet new people every night, go to the alternative dining option. Of course you can always ask for a table for two, but be aware there are only a few of them.

If you makes a special request, one night, John always asks for blue cheese, the waiter will bring every night. They pride themselves on remembering your tastes. (This occurs only when traditional restaurants is chosen). On a cruise we ask, Melba toast, and you bet, every night we had biscuits. One thing I always make clear to the waiter. I am not a dining room, but I like to try everything. I say this to them the first night so I do not think that I am not satisfied with the food. It's your job to keep happy and take it very seriously.

If you do not want to eat in the main dining room almost all ships have a Lido café where it is accidental but an order from a menu and are served by a waiter. It is one of many options if you do not want to participate in a formal night or just want to eat by themselves. In Carnival cruise only encourage this style of dining for singles can meet other people. There are exceptions to this but not many. In some of the new ships, the Lido is open 24 hours a day.

On Most cruise lines offer the food of the region you're visiting. While on Hawaiian cruises expect to be served Hawaiian food. When an Alaskan cruise will be given options for Alaska salmon and king crab legs. It's more fun to dine on local cuisine.

Each line Cruises offer healthy alternative menus or what they call spa menus. So if you want low fat, low salt, low cholesterol, vegetarian or any other type of diet that are available. The best is yet to inform your travel agent for special needs so they can notify the cruise line early. If you have special dietary needs to ensure that the cruise lines know in advance. For example, Royal Caribbean Cruises respond to food allergy, Kosher, Indian, vegetarian and gluten-free diets.

To be really sure to read all the reviews of cruise and cruise critics sites for each ships food and ratings service.

Happy Cruising, enjoy it, we do!
