Carnival Spirit

A Cruise Review - Mexican Riviera on the Carnival Spirit

The boat of the best in our experiment cruise price is good shape and obviously well maintained. As usual in a boat that there were people constantly cleaning. In reading these tips actually was expecting a lot, "Gaucher" decoration than we found. It is lively and colorful, but overall I think it works. Traffic patterns were all good and it was very easy to move.

Demographics - There are very few children on board this week. They had Halloween activities for them, but rarely saw most of them. Overall, this was a much larger group I was waiting with a large number of older people and we do not think that most passengers were in 40 to 60 of age.

Our cabin was fantastic and so was the cabin steward.

The best cruise prices or not, I do not think we had a cabin manager that Wayan! No only caught up with all our decorations and mischief, (who had a group of about Cruise Critic's) he was happy to help with the jokes and join the fun. Our cabin was always spotless and we never had a request was not met immediately.

We liked the cabin. Again, the cabins Stern is not for everyone and, indeed, a member of our group said they never used the balcony because it was too noisy. I have read differing views on the configuration of the shelter cabins aft on the boat class spirit, because it is very short in a sitting area, bathroom / dressing room and bedroom. We found that this is a great setup and I enjoyed it enormously. The rival HAL mattresses and I hope the Carnival will go up to bat and make the change on the princess as well. They were very comfortable. You do not know it was a cheap cruise cabin we had.

The food on the boat was hit-and-miss

Cruise Ship Food - This is probably the most subjective individual reviews of the cruise. Like all cruises, we found some things he loved and some things that were just awful. We enjoyed the Nouveau Supper Club and goes for the second time tonight. The dining room was really a dodge. Some wonderful dishes (lobster was as good as any I've had in the sea) and some not so good ones (most beef dishes).

I say here and now that I'm in the very small percentage of people who do not like the molten chocolate cake, again personal preference. The buffet was limited equal morning for breakfast. (Never went early to get to the dining room) Lunch was varied and had some good and some not so great, but again it is easy to choose at a buffet. We liked the pizza and hamburgers and pasta. We enjoy soft ice cream available.

We found the service less than ideal

Service Personal - This is where we hit the real problem areas. We never saw the CD out and around the deck. He was in some games and some trivia, etc, but what I find and greeting passengers, none of us saw it. Our waiter was arrogant and disinterested, although his assistant was wonderful. On Halloween, the Conference on Disarmament, said in an announcement if not bring a suit just grab a sheet or something. So a couple in our group what he did. It is fashionable robes, the gentleman's shoulder was bare, but she was not. The De Maitre refused to allow him in the dining room. What was up with that? When all was said and done, the only people we advice deserve additional assistant steward and assistant dining room. This has never happened to us before.

The best prices for cruises, but not the better communication

Communication - The order and number of hours of the itinerary changed. Apparently, some people are leaflets about it in the shipment, but most do not. No announcement was made in general and the only place I ever saw in the writing was the reserve for the trip form the coast. How easy would been to include a piece of paper with the capers in the first place? Also, I read my own capers, I found that annoying reading the CD throughout the day of each speaker.

We did not go to the party. We had a ball at the piano bar with Steve, and I saw the question of whether he would still be here in January, I will there tonight and get an answer. If I see the CD I will ask him too, but I'm not holding out much hope.

Embarkation was a disaster, but it was people humans.

Embarkation was a disaster, but that was a fluke. It would, however, have been much smoother if many passengers had not insisted to carry your luggage on board with them and completely blocking the roads to the runway to await their area to be called. The other side of that, we have our luggage much quicker than expected, I'm not sure they had much to offer.

The cruise in general ...

I do not remember having read some things that surprised me on these boards so I will mention here. We had two signs and sail cards with different numbers of the same credit card. Each charge that my husband was in folio, on television and on my sheet to make it appear he was charged twice. This caused many passengers to move the table Surcharges for an explanation of the first couple of days. In addition, the table does not allow surcharges to be cashed a check for $ 5.50 / $ 100.00. So if you wanted $ 400.00 it would cost $ 22.00. Not the best cruise prices.

Overall - We have enjoyed ourselves. Our group of critics cruise, many of whom have sailed together before having a ball with all our antics and goings on. Do you cruise Carnival again? Yes, if this group decided that that would be the cruise next year. I would pick a different line for my husband and myself because we did find some of the things that missing value in cruising.
