Suggestions for a Caribbean Cruise or All Inclusive Resort?

My wife and I are planning a vacation for this fall. We wonder if most people would suggest a cruise or an all inclusive resort. We have never been on a cruise. What would you suggest cruises in the Caribbean? We have been to the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, but would prefer to go somewhere else, any other recommendations than Mexico? Want an all-inclusive with nice pools and lazy river.
