3-day Bahamas cruise from Florida. Carnival or Royal Caribbean?

We will be in Florida this summer for 9 days and we are thinking of taking a 3-day cruise to the Bahamas. Carnival and the Caribbean are the two lines which a cruise. What should you take and why? He's in his early 50's, I'm in my late 40's. None of us have ever taken a cruise before.

Again and again carnival is known as a "party boat", it always sounds as if nothing but a bunch of drunk people on these cruises. I have sailed Carnival 4 times and have yet to see a "bunch of drunks" and lots of fun. I'm in my mid 40's, drink socially and enjoy people in general. The kinds of people went on Carnival cruise ships were typically middle-class Americans. the 3-day cruise there were people around the world. I met a couple from Japan, the newlyweds from London, etc. When I did the day 4 of Royal Caribbean, there were many people in my age group who were drunk at 11:00 am However I would not judge to be the same on every cruise. Personally, I think Royal Caribbean ships are of higher quality. I know Carnival staterooms are larger by 20% what happens to me like:) Carnival Facsination out on Friday, return Monday. You spend almost 24 hours in Nassau, which for me is great. You get a full day navigation Sunday and plenty of time to meet Nassau. RCI Majesty of the Sea about 8 hours spent on his island, Cayo Coco, who will have to be tendered. Day Next, is about 8 hours in Nassau. So really, it depends on what you want:) If I'm on a cruise, I'm happy! Hope you enjoy!
